Sofia Beça is a Portuguese ceramic artist born in 1972, in Porto. She studied Ceramics at Escola de Artes Decorativas Soares dos Reis, Porto, and attended several ceramics courses and artist residencies over the years. In 2017 she received the 1st prize at the International Ceramics Competition in L’Alcora, Spain. Sofia Beça is also known for her murals, made for private and public spaces. She is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC).
