Dear readers,

While we have been active with other projects, we sadly have left the Ceramics Now website offline for a couple of months. Now it is time to turn it on permanently, and for that we will restructure the website and the magazine piece by piece. In the following days and weeks we will launch the second issue both in print and online, the website will be rebuilt for a better online experience and most importantly, we will publish new content.

Speaking as the founding Editor, I know we have been slow in replying to your emails and I would like to apologize for that. All your emails will receive attention and get a response in the following week. Taking into consideration that we are a non-profit organization with a volunteer-based team formed out of students, I believe that we have at least tried to do our best with Ceramics Now. We will continue to develop the magazine with a focus on improving the reader and customer experience, and we strongly recommend you to participate and offer a helping hand in our work. Now it’s the best time to do this. You can help by participating to our reader survey and by donating to Ceramics Now. 100% of your donation goes back into Ceramics Now and helps us cover crucial costs.

You can also help us on these specific subjects:
– Creating a list of shops, galleries and studios that would love to sell Ceramics Now subscriptions: We need the shop’s name, address, working email and a short description (if you know any in your area, those are enough!);
– Creating a ceramics galleries map for all the countries: We need the gallery’s name, address, working email, telephone and short description (Optional: logo);
– Researching contemporary Danish ceramics: We need help with getting research papers, interviews and other serious articles on this subject in English;
– Finding an English-Japanese volunteer translator for helping us with a couple of interviews.

Starting today, you will see the progress of our work in the weekly diary on Facebook.

Yours,
Vasi Hirdo
