Mel Arsenault: Altars, 2020-2023

The well-being of nature, our mind and our bodies is intimately linked: the Altars are talismanic structures rendering organic and mineral morphologies, shaped with the intention of conveying the deep love I feel for matter. By rendering quasi-symmetrical forms that refers natural geometry and fractals, I allow abstracted shapes to produce familiar feelings, allowing multiple meanings to arise.
