Nitsa Meletopoulos: Duo Vertigo, 2020-2023
Duo Vertigo is a project that started in 2020 with Victor Alarcon and Nitsa Meletopoulos. Duo Vertigo was exhibited in Galerie Tatiss in Lyon, MO.CO in Montpellier, Claude Cartier in Lyon and Arnoldsche Publishers in Stuttgart.
Made with 4 hands and 2 brains Duo Vertigo is about love, desire, sex but also disenchantment. It was born of exchanges you can have with somebody with whom you share daily life, workshop and passion. Duo Vertigo creates colorful and gloopy design pieces talking about daily life, and traditional and contemporary pottery. Vertigo is the dizziness you can feel when you discover something new and exciting, when you fall in love, vertigo is softly moving, vertigo is romantic but dirty, vertigo loves ceramics and people making ceramics, vertigo makes things you can use: Softly indecent Rococo fountain, weird love spell bottles, clump of grass to use as dildos, Ovid disagreement mirrors, big candle chandelier and stool dripping with pink sperm. Overall playful, joyful and colorful.
