Marc Leuthold

Marc Leuthold is an artist who lives and works in Shanghai and New York. He is a citizen of the United States and Switzerland. Leuthold has graduated from the University of North Carolina with a Master’s in Fine Arts in 1988 and currently teaches at the State University of New York and Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts.

Leuthold has exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the Smithsonian Museum of American Art in Washington DC, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Recent exhibitions in Shanghai include a duo-solo show at ART LABOR Gallery and major installation works at the Wutong Art Museum and the China Art Museum. He won one of the major prizes in the first Blanc de Chine International Porcelain competition.

Marc Leuthold is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics since 1999 and the Swiss Ceramics Association since 2006.
