Jackie Brown

Jackie Brown explores our relationship to the world around us through biomorphic sculptures that blur boundaries between the real and the imagined. In 2018, Brown received a Lighton International Artist Exchange Program Award to spend three months as an artist-in-residence at the European Ceramic Work Center in the Netherlands. She is also the recipient of a Maine Artist Fellowship and additional residencies include time at the Archie Bray Foundation and in the Artist Studios at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City. Brown received her MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and her BA from Hamilton College. She currently lives in Maine where she is an Associate Professor at Bowdoin College.
