Kerry Jameson

Kerry Jameson has had a long and varied career in ceramics, based initially in the United Kingdom. She moved to Singapore in 2015. Her ceramic and mixed media sculptures have an emotional charge that is presented through a mix of narrative set pieces, tableaux and individual figures. Subjects include historical events and the exploits of folkloric and storybook characters. The predominant aesthetic is that of the uncanny – where objects are recognised as familiar and at the same time experienced as deeply strange.

Jameson trained at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design (BA Hons) and the Royal College of Art (MA). She has undertaken residencies in New South Wales Australia, Emmanuel College Boston, and Archie Bray Foundation in Montana USA. She has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions internationally such as The Masters of British Studio Pottery at Collect, London UK. The Australian Ceramics Triennale NSW, Public Art Awards at The Royal British Society of Sculptors UK, Sofa Chicago and New York USA, and the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts, London UK. Examples of her work can be found in the Anthony Shaw Collection in York Museum and Art Gallery, Gallery Oldham, The Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge, The John Christian Collection in the United Kingdom, Archie Bray Foundation USA and many private collections internationally. She is represented in the United Kingdom by Marsden Woo Gallery.
