Ryu Eun Hye
Ryu Eun Hye is a ceramic artist based in Seoul, South Korea. She studied ceramics at Hongik University and received her MFA in Ceramics. Her practice explores themes of care, relationships, and the structures that emerge through human connection.
Her work is grounded in repeated forms, accumulated processes, and the material qualities of clay and glaze. Through interconnected ceramic units, she investigates the invisible time and labor embedded in everyday life, examining how acts of care become relationships and how those relationships gradually take shape as structures. The movement of flowing glaze, influenced by gravity and chance, introduces elements of uncertainty and transformation that reflect the dynamic nature of human relationships.
She has exhibited her work in Korea, China, and Japan. In 2024, she participated in a residency program at Taoxichuan in Jingdezhen, China, where she engaged with an international community of ceramic artists and expanded her understanding of contemporary ceramic practices. In 2026, she presented a solo exhibition at Mizusai Gallery in Tokyo, Japan.
Ryu continues to explore the hidden time embedded in care and the evolving relationships that shape both individuals and communities. She lives and works in Seoul.
