Elizabeth Dychter

Elizabeth Dychter was born in 1966 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She started her artistic journey in 1985 while studying Fashion Design at ABM. However, her passion lay in ceramics, and in 1988 she began learning ceramics with Prof. Alejandra Jones. She then took pottery lessons with Professor José Arpi at El Patio de Dorrego, where she learned about glaze and raku. She participated in workshops to learn sawdust firing techniques and glazes with Israeli professor Yehuda Koren at the IUNA College of Arts.

Her dedication also earned her a residency experience in Vallauris, France, in 2012. She participated in several other Artists in Residency programs, including one in C.r.e.t.a. Rome, Italy, one in Vallauris, France, and one in Faenza, Italy. Throughout her career, Elizabeth has participated in many group and solo exhibitions. Some of her solo exhibitions include displays at the Holocaust Museum of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Creta Rome, Italy, and Officina Matteucci in Faenza, Italy.

Several organizations have recognized Elizabeth’s talent, and she has received numerous awards for her work. Elizabeth Dychter is also a member of the International Academy of Ceramics based in Switzerland. She currently lives in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
