Pocosin Arts School of Fine Craft

Pocosin Arts School of Fine Craft, Columbia, NC

Pocosin’s studios, lodging, dining facilities, and fine craft gallery are situated on the banks of the Scuppernong River in historic downtown, Columbia, North Carolina. An hour from the Outer Banks, it is an ideal place for our residencies, five-day summer workshops, a private retreat or community classes. We also offer live online workshops year-round for learning from the comfort of home.
During our summer session, instructors from all over the world fly in to teach five-day workshops. Our delicious food, in-house lodging, and beautiful deck right on the river are the perfect place to enjoy complete immersion in your craft. For those looking for a longer stay with us, we offer a summer fellowship (May – August) and a nine-month residency (September – May) each year. Check out our website for more information on when to apply.

Looking to expand your horizons from the comfort of your home? Our online opportunities are available to anyone with a strong enough internet connection. We’ve had people tune in from New Zealand, the UK, Venezuela, Spain, and more. Want to see something listed on our website but have a conflict with the time? With the purchase of the class, you’ll have access to the recording for 45 days after the workshop, so you can watch it as many times as you want.

We look forward to seeing you in person (or virtually) soon!
