Jeanne Rimbert: Wonderfull days!¹, 2022-2023
There, now, everything, right away. It’s pop, it’s fluorescent, it’s fun. Dynamic, joyful, pink-green-blue. Magical colours and graphic effervescence. It’s like the Mickey Mouse drawing we had at the bottom of our plastic plate. Since then, we’ve applied layers of lacquer to give the surface a shiny finish. But the tree has no more leaves, the bird is stuck in its oil puddle, the rabbit doesn’t look right. Let’s put some glitter and shine back on.
Mankind has become sufficiently alienated from itself to be able to experience its own destruction as an aesthetic pleasure of the highest order.
