To celebrate 15 years of Ceramics Now, we are delighted to invite ceramic artists from around the world to be part of a landmark issue of Ceramics Now Magazine.
For this anniversary edition, we’re launching our first-ever open call to spotlight ceramic artists and new perspectives that may not yet be on our radar. The call is part of our commitment to editorial independence, giving a voice to artists worldwide and creating new connections across the ceramics community. The anniversary issue will celebrate our belief that ceramics today is as diverse, vital, and forward-thinking as it has ever been.
Since 2010, Ceramics Now has been an independent, reader-supported publication dedicated to showcasing the most compelling voices in contemporary ceramics. Our mission has always been to champion excellence, experimentation, and critical engagement and build bridges between artists, curators, collectors, writers, and enthusiasts. Ceramics Now is read by over 50,000 people each month.

What we’re looking for
We’ll select 15-20 artists working with ceramics whose works reflect unique perspectives and the creative potential of the field to be featured in the 15-year anniversary issue of Ceramics Now Magazine (December 2025). All ceramic artists are encouraged to apply.
What selected artists receive
• A dedicated artist profile (minimum four pages) in the anniversary issue (digital + print-on-demand);
• Publication on our web platform, newsletter, and social media pages;
• Promotion to our large global audience of arts professionals interested in ceramics;
• A free annual subscription to Ceramics Now Magazine, including the anniversary issue;
• At least one upcoming solo exhibition featured in Ceramics Now within the next year, if applicable;
• A chance to be on the cover of Ceramics Now Magazine;
• Permanent archival visibility on our website.
Additionally, all applicants will receive a complimentary digital edition of the anniversary issue. We will also consider submissions for future editorial content.
Timeline
• Deadline for applications: September 15, 2025
• Selected artists will be announced on October 15, 2025
Eligibility
• Open to all artists working with ceramics worldwide.
• Works submitted must have been made between 2022 and 2025 and consist of at least 60% ceramic material.
• Artists featured in Ceramics Now Magazine between October 2024 and now, or who have already been invited to be featured, are not eligible for this open call.
Submission fee
• Submission fee: $15 (non-refundable). We are a reader-supported publication, and your submission fee directly supports our work as an independent publication. It ensures that our editorial team carefully reviews and processes your submission. We devote time and attention to every application.
• There are no additional publication fees if selected.
