Mette Maya Gregersen: Nature works, 2016-2019
Nature is an integrated part of my work and clay process as I live right in the middle of it. Between lake and forest. I want to reflect back the source of inspiration by bringing it back to its original state of mind. The transformation process is a long journey and it holds a memory, because it moves through so many stages. This memory is like a backdrop to new stories. Using the environment to engage in a dialogue between material and belonging.
The Geometry of Echoes
When one thought leads to another
Drifting in the same place
Pinching porcelain and water
My favorite view
Where the waves have washed ashore
On your stillness
And the boy returns
